Part of LIVING BIG OUT LOUD is to declare what you're taking on and then keeping the camera fixed on you while you do it (How do you think those Biggest Loser shmoes make it happen?)
So I will show you how it's done by making my first declarations and then giving a baseline - pictures or numbers or whatever to ensure that I have some accountability.
Here are the "areas" that I'm focusing on: (and some I may push to the front and some I may slide to the back, but here's what's on my mind):
I want to emerge from my XL Challenge in the following way:
1) I will to be healthy and fit on a straight line trajectory to being 200 lbs and smoking hot!
2) I will have a life filled with fun and joy and adventures - with a mixture of BIG activities and little, periodic activities.
3) I will be on pace to be earning $500K for the year and I will have ALL of my "not highest best use" activities delegated/outsourced/eliminated so that 98% of my time is focused on FUN activities, INSPIRING activities, and/or areas which are my "highest best use"
4) My physical environment will be organized, clean, and clutter free. I will PURGE and maintain disciplines and structures to allow my environment to inspire me and motivate me.
5) I will have transformed my relationship with my lovely wife Marilyn and my kids so that we are kinder and more loving to each other AND filled with great joy and humor.
That seems like a good enough start right now so the "brass tacks" club is asking, "When are you going to get down to us?"
So, here are the brass tacks:
1) I'm going to clean/organize my office and my car and on a daily basis complete a checklist to confirm that my environment is clean and orderly AND I'm going to take pictures/video on an "at least" 3 times a week basis to ensure that YOU ALL agree wiht me.
2) I'm off cigars for 90 days.
3) I'm abstaining from SODAs and Sweets for 90 Days. It's not forever but it's enough to help me break the addiction. Here is my list of sweets that, as God is my witness, will not pass these lips between March 31st and June 30th:
- Candy
- Cake
- Ice Cream
- 7-11 Coffee Rolls (my nemesis)
- Those are the big ones
4) I'm off French Fries and any fried appetizers. (this shouldn't be as hard because of it not being football season - Again, I don't know that I will maintain this but I think that making an eating change is necessary for me to start living my Extraordinary Life)
OK - that's my start to my declarations. I will add as I go!
